The name is Sarah Leavitt. I am a journalist-in-training in Concordia’s graduate diploma program. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in History from the University in Ottawa. Although all areas of journalism interest me (print, magazine, broadcast…etc), I am most excited by sports journalism. The pace of games and the thrill that comes with watching them gets me everytime. My favourite sport to watch/cover is hockey while my favourite sport to play is soccer. Ultimate job: TSN SportsCentre anchor.

Last year, I held the position of Features Editor at the University of Ottawa’s student paper, the Fulcrum. While in Ottawa, I freelanced a few times for the Ottawa Sun’s sports section as well as some local tourism websites. This year, I hold the position of Features Bureau Chief for the Canadian University Press. I also have a steady freelancing gig at Actualites CDN-NDG, a local newspaper. Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments: sarahleavitt98[at]gmail.com

And yes, I dress like that all the time…
